And Abe Lincoln did beat a pierogi! In fact he beat all four pierogies at the last Nationals vs Pirates game I saw (at the new Nationals stadium) in the Nationals Presidents Race (Pittsburgh also does the Great Pierogi Race when it's at their stadium).
